I recently graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in economics and political science. I believe in empowering others through storytelling, which is how I found my place in communications & marketing strategy.

In my current role at Beta Finance, I began exploring how to generate visual content that simultaneously promotes product use cases and overall brand image. These are some of my favorite digital drawings I’ve created using Procreate.

Beta Finance is Web3 money market protocol that aims to offset extreme crypto volatility by automating the short selling of digital assets. As a marketing strategist, I led the research, development, and implementation of short to long-term strategic marketing plans aimed at promoting product use cases and brand image. I focused on securing strategic partnerships that bring unique user utility to the DeFi protocol. I also managed and generated all written and visual content across company social media (Twitter, Medium, Telegram, and Discord).

Research Assistant on the gender dimensions of digital engagement

June 2020

I assisted a political science professor in a project researching the gender dimensions of political engagement with a focus on female academics in political science. I drafted a literature review of existing research on gender disparities in academia and what constitutes “digital status” and worked towards an appropriate definition of “digital status.” I also analyzed altmetrics measuring digital engagement on multiple platforms, including Twitter, Wikipedia, and LinkedIn and conducted qualitative interviews with academics who have amassed what we call “digital capital.”

Government Relations Assistant at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China

July 2019

During my time at EUCCC, I monitored industrial trade policies and trade developments in China, analyzed Chinese laws and policies and their implications for European MNCs operating in China, and researched China’s shifting domestic policies and focus industries through statistical analysis of information published across over 100 state agency websites. I contributed research and writing to the Chamber’s 2019 Position Paper and I edited and wrote for The Digital Hand: How China’s Corporate Social Credit System Conditions Market Actors — a pioneer publication on how foreign businesses can safely navigate China’s social credit system.

Editorial Board at The Daily Northwestern

September 2017

I have taken on multiple positions on the editorial board and by-lined 98 stories throughout my four years at The Daily Northwestern. When I was responsible for Development & Recruitment, I trained new writers according to The Daily Style Book and led weekly diversity and inclusion initiatives within the newsroom, including open houses for LGBTQ+, low-income and first generation, and Black/Hispanic incoming writers. When I was Social Media Editor, I redesigned, developed, and maintained The Daily’s website using HTML and CSS and ensured that The Daily’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and all online content aligned with the newspaper’s mission statement of serving Northwestern and Evanston communities. When I was Campus Editor, I met with the University President, Provost, and undergraduate and graduate deans on a monthly basis. I led a reporting staff of around 35 to publish stories daily.
